  • 24th Aug, 2019 - Players note:  Boys 12 Gold & Boys 14 Gold will play at High School Strand.  Boys 14 Plat will play at Strand Tennis Club.

  • 21st Aug, 2019 - Players note:  There will be no doubles played in this event.  Anyone wishing to enter as an on-site alternate should report to the relevant venue no later than 8h00 on Sat 24 Aug to sign in on the Alternate form.  There could be a change of venue for some of the Boys categories for Sunday 25 Aug, please check on website for changes.

Line judges are imperative. Players are winning matches by stealing opponents points. It has become an epidemic and seriously counterproductive. This makes a mockery of SA tennis in that the match winners become those who are good thieves..

It was sad to see an older child beat a younger child by cheating and even when the official was next to the court and did nothing. The official I think should be more professional and not chat to parents but instead let the game be fair. What is the job of the official when the official is non-existing? What happened to an official on court during a final match to make line calls and to keep score? This is something Boland Tennis and even Eden Tennis can learn from Cape Town Tennis.

I sincerely feel that at this level of maturity that cheating should not be condoned. I was very impressed when a brilliant player in this tournament insisted that an umpire should watch the match
It is not fair on honest players to have to tolerate that devious behaviour. We all know about this cheating for months even years yet have to politely remain quiet and pretend we dont see
I think its by time that such behaviour should be dealt with
