  • 27th Oct, 2020 - Please note the following: All finals will be played at the Free State Stadium. The first matches are scheduled to start at 9:00am which means ALL players, parents and coaches have to leave the venue by 8:30 for screening to start.  All finalists (singles and doubles) have to report upstairs at the Free State Stadium to collect their medals and trophies.   • 26th Oct, 2020 - Please note that all singles semi finals will be played at the Free State Stadium on Tuesday. All sections that have unfinished doubles semi finals because of the rain will play their doubles finals on Wednesday.

  • 25th Oct, 2020 - Please note the following:   Stringers are available at all of the venues.    There is a tuck shop at the Free State Stadium that will sell pre packed food only as well as water, energy drinks, sweeets etc.   Mundene will be selling water and cooldrinks only. 28 Direct Acceptance based on the players combined ranking
4 TSA Invitational Spots
Players will be allowed to enter the event and those who don’t make the cut of 28 will be fully refunded their entry fees

Some parents are communicating with a cellphone and or whatsapp with girls while they are playing a match in between games. Is this allowed? If not, this needs to be highlighted to parents boldly on the website.
Some parents are hostile towards non-whites.

I feel the organisers tried too hard to make a point regarding the rules (which I completely understand due to the fact that I also am a registred TSA Official and currently help organise local tennis tournaments and dealt with parents in this recent pandemic circumstances) but somewhere the joy and friendliness of the competition got lost. Players are completely in the hands of officials who havent even played tennis themselves and do not understand the seriousness of that moment for the player and are not nearly strict enough with manipulative and cheating players.

Very disappointed at the number of games that the GS18 played. Flying from Cape Town and paying for guest house accomodation for only 2 games is a total waste of time and money. If we were told in time that the GS18 draw was only 14 girls I would have withdrawn my daughter.
