RULES OF ENTRY
The WP Masters Open Championship is for all SSA registered players aged 35+. You do not need to be a Masters member.
SECTIONS: The number of entries per age group will determine the sections. Should there not be enough entries in an age group the tournament organisers have the right to combine 2 age groups together. With insufficient entries for the age groups, a 16 player swiss pairing format may be used, based on player seedings.
The final seeding and draw will be done in conjunction with and approved by WP Masters Squash.
ENTRIES: Entries can be done through the "Sign Up" link provided. You will receive a confirmation mail. Instructions for the entry fees payable will be provided with the registration confirmation email. Only paid-up entries will be considered for the final draw.
VENUE: The default venue for all matches is the Fish Hoek Squash Club. Weekday matches may be played elsewhere by mutual agreement – players to arrange own venue, time and marker on the same day as scheduled. Players being requested to change the venue may deny the request and the match shall be played at the Fish Hoek Squash Club as scheduled. Results to be provided to Tournament Organiser immediately after the match. ALL MATCHES on Friday 11 April and Saturday 12 April to be played at the Fish Hoek Squash Club.
SCHEDULE: First matches to start at 6pm on the weekdays. Players must be present 30 minutes before the scheduled time of their match. Be ready to play when the match prior to yours is finished. Players are responsible to check the times of their matches. We will schedule as best we can for "distant travelers".
REFEREE: Players are obliged to mark/referee the match immediately following their match but may be excused if referees are available. It is preferred that the sportyhq scoring app be used. Download it from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=scoresquash.ik&hl=en_ZA

FORMALITIES: Food and refreshments will be on sale for the duration of the tournament followed by a function after the final matches on the Saturday.
PHOTOGRAPHY/LIVESTREAMING: Photos at the Venue and/or Livestreaming of matches taken by Fish Hoek Squash Club, WP Squash or their nominated officials may be posted onto their social media platforms and websites. By entering this tournament, you consent to the use of any photos and/or livestreaming of you, your family and any guests that may join you, on the Fish Hoek Squash Club, WP Squash and affiliated websites. It is your responsibility to inform your quests.
